I got 2 doublers but each of them say only double up to $1. The post before said for the Tampons you could double the $2 coupon. Am I just confused??

The cashier today told me I didn't have a choice what coupon doubled that they doubled the lowest amount coupon. I told him it didn't say that anywhere, that it said to double up to $1. He told me that they would do it just this one time for me...
