I think I finally figured out something pretty big. A while ago, I had tried to buy something and expected an avenu e-coupon to come off but it didn't. I remember hearing that some stores switched over to a new computer system and avenu does not work at some stores.

Well the albertsons stores by me definitely have the new computer system and for promos where you buy $X amount, get back $Y amount, it works off the regular shelf price like how stores like ACME in the northeast work.

This week of course is the nestle, dreyers, skinny cow etc. ice cream
deal, buy $12 and get $4 OYNO catalina

So today I did this:

1 Dreyers ice cream (reg price $6.99, on sale $3)
1 Skinny cow 6 pack (reg price $5.99, on sale $4)
Regular Shelf Price Total: $12.98
Total after Preferred Savings card: $7 and I used $1/1 skinny cow coupon from the Vons frozen food $42 savings book
So I paid $6 OOP and get back the $4 cat

I rolled it another 2 times like this...

1 Dreyers ice cream @ $3
1 Skinny Cow @ $4
= $7 less $1/1 skinny cow coupon less $4 cat = $2 OOP and got back another $4 cat

I am not entirely sure but am assuming this whole $12 regular shelf price thing only works at stores with the new computer system (ie. stores where avenu no longer works. It's possible it may work at all stores but I am kinda thinking it most likely will not work.
