| re: 8 Hour Sale Thursday 4/2/09 1p-9pm For Free milk Kellogg's deal. I did it on Monday for 3 free milk the free milk expiration dates are spacing out like the first 2 like within April and till May is the third coupon so there are time to use them up.
Sorry I can't remember exact dates I put them away on my car so. that what I remember the expiration are not the same dates.

Here's my scenario:
3 x $1.50 Kellogg's cereals = $4.50
- 3 x $.70/1 Kellogg's insert coupon
= $2.40 for 3 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk catalina. If you also have any of the tearpads for Free Eggs WYB 2 Kellogg's Cereals, then this could potentially make the deal even better.
Oh and I'm a cart stalker too! Especially when I see people with kids in the baby aisle. | |

| re: 8 Hour Sale Thursday 4/2/09 1p-9pm What a terrible experience, 3boyzmomma! It's bad enough when a real veteran couponer gets accused of coupon fraud, but it's even worse when you are new to this and think you may be in the wrong. You weren't though -- you did absolutely nothing wrong.
In addition to calling the store, you might want to contact SuperValu corporate and ask them to send you their coupon policy in writing, and have it with you in your binder or whatever means you use to hold your coupons when you shop.
I was once given the "just this once" routine by a very senior cashier at a Ralphs Fresh Fare. I was trying to use one of the Ralphs 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard checks, which come already made out to Ralphs. It was for five bucks and it was over 60 days old, because I try not to use them up all at once. She kept saying, "We don't take checks that are more than 60 days old," and I kept saying, "But Ralphs sent me these, and they're made out to Ralphs, so it's not like I'm trying to cash a 90-day-old paycheck here!"
When my next set of checks arrived, a few weeks later, I saw that at the bottom of the accompanying letter that those checks are valid for one year from the printed date -- not 60 days, like a personal check or something. Of course, it doesn't say that anywhere on the checks themselves, only on the letter that they come attached to.
You'd better believe I carry that letter with me now. That particular cashier has retired, but if she didn't know the policy, why would someone newer know it?
I've also gotten the "just this once" at CVS for using coupons I printed cashing in MyCokeRewards points. The cashier said they only took Internet printables if they were in color!
We know way more than the employees do in a lot of cases. Good for you for standing your ground, getting your discount, getting your new Catalinas, and calling the store. Hopefully the manager will call you and you will report back what he or she said.
Don't cry over free milk!

If a customer does not want their Cataiina coupons, it is Albertsons’ policy that the cashier destroy them immediately. Catalina checkout coupons printed at other retailers may be accepted for redemption following the manufacturer/competitor store coupon guidelines. 4. I have been accused of coupon fraud at Albertsons (a cashier who said "these are photocopied, they have the same number on them!," when they were NOT photocopied and they did NOT have the same "number" on them) and we as consumers should be following their rules -- and so should they! |
