Albertsons (SouthWest) ~ Promo: Yippee - Promotion + Double coupon 10/7-10/13

Well, went to Albies today and got some really good savings. Stock is already depleted because there are no limits on this deal.

Albies in Phoenix is having double, triple, and quadruple coupons up to $1.

I did 4 sets of 6 items for a total of 24 items.

The promotion is buy 6 items, and get $3 off (so basically .50 off per item). I do not have time to type the whole thing as I have to run off to the airport, but I thought I might get the thread started:

I bought:

5 BC Warm Delights 1.50 - .50 promo - $1 (.50Q doubled) = Free
1 Chex Mix 1.50 - .50 promo - $1 (.50Q doubled) = Free
1 GM COokie Crisp 2.00 - .50 promo - $1 (.50Q doubled) = .50
3 Cinnamon Toast Crunch 6.00 - 1.50 promo - $3 (GM peelie) = 1.50
13 GG Steamers 1.50 - .50 promo - $1 (.50Q doubled) = Free
1 BC Frosting 1.50 - .50 promo - $1 (.50Q doubled) = Free

There is a Buy 10 items (all priced 10/10) get 3 items free with coupon in the flyer. I did the following:
3 Rotel 3.00 - $1 (buy 2 get 1 free Q) = 2.00
5 Hunts pudding 5.00 - 1 ($1/4Q) = 4.00
2 Crunch n Munch 2.00 - 1.40 (.35q doubled x 2) = .60
3 Hunts diced tomatos 3.00 - $1 ($1/3 Q) = 2.00
Buy 10, get $3 off Q = so a total of 8.60 - 3 = $5.60

They also have Powerade Buy 10 get a free dasani water 24 pack (4.99 value). This is a good deal if you have the .75/2 coupons. They are on sale for .79 cents each.

So, 7.90 - 5.00 = 2.90 for 10 powerades and a water. We pay more than this for water at costco so this is a good deal for me.

I'm pretty sure the buy 7 get 3 free coupon is a manufacturer's coupon, so you can't combine them.

So there's no limit on the GM deal? That's good to know! I just need my coupons to get here.

adriana... I did the 10 and get 3 free yesterday and used coupons for every item I bought and combined the $3.00 coupon in the sales paper... and I am gonna do it again on Monday!

Hmm...you know I did not even look at that. I am going to have to get another flyer to see what our says. They used to always be store Qs - but I have not shopped at Albertson's since they stopped regulalry doubling coupons. Sorry for the confusion.

I think with the coupons that are out right now - it would be better to use MF coupons for each item vs. only the B10, get 3 items free Q.

Generally, you should be able to use coupons on the 10 that you are buying, but not the 3 that are free. This morning, I did this:
Bought 13 asst Hunt's tomatoes (i'm out) and used 3 35/3 blinkies right there that "multiplied" to $1.00. So, here's what I paid $13.00 - $3.00 -$3.00 (free) = $7.00 for 13cans or 53¢ each much better than store brand.

Ditto GreenFrog's comment above. I take that coupon the same way as the get $$ off Meat/produce WYB -this- item. I can use a coupon on -this- item, then use the $$ off Meat one for the meat without it being fraud.

I only did the steamer deal this week and a few other random things. My store was pretty stocked up on them and still was even though I got 24 - but those + the baby food (Beechnut Free Qs) + the Bashas $10/$50 Q + the other random stuff I got BROKE the self-scan machine! The manager had to come out and look it over. Tol me that the new software on them hates too many coupons. She looked at my total and said I definitely used more than the machine liked. My total was $.03 *lol*

So unless your doing multiple trans avoid a bigger coupon checkout at the U-Scans...
