The fact is people do copy the IPs and the store does not get reimbursed for the copied ones.

Though I do agree that 75% off seems kinda lame. And typical of some to misinterpret that IP doesn't mean ALL coupons. But I would think I would rather have them give me 75% off rather than not accept it at all (like other stores).

As much as we like to think that the big companies OWE us something, or can afford to LOOSE MONEY, they do not. It is their store and their rules. Sometimes we need to look at both sides. With the way the economy is going more and more people are looking for something for nothing and they think "Hey why not just photocopy this coupon to save even more."

Whether they realize it or not that the store won't get reimbursed for said coupon and they may not care, all they know is they want what they want and they will get it as cheaply and easily as possible. They don't care to think that the fact is they are stealing from the store (which is what it is) may drive up prices or make them change policies making it so they don't loose so much money. These are also the same people that will complain when prices rise.

The companies are there to make money. Just like ANY business owner is otherwise it is called a charity.
Sorry, you lost me. Copies, I agree, do not get reimbursed, but IPs do, along with a handling fee. The store makes the sale, then receives money from the manufacturer through the clearinghouse for the value of the coupon, plus a small handling fee.

If I were the manufacturers, I'd be mad as H-E double toothpicks. They go to the expense to advertise, publish (through print and electronic media) coupons to drive consumers to their products, and the stores refuse to accept them. And I agree with PP, if they are giving 75% credit, but receiving full reimbursement, that should be considered coupon fraud. However, as you said, I'd rather they give me 75% than nothing.

My point is the COPIED IPs do NOT get reimbursed, and how are they to know which ones are copied?

So the way I figure it, the first company to put in an IP with the specific code gets the money but all the other times the same IP with the SAME specific code that get used will not be reimbursed. Unless there is some why for them to know which was the original IP and which was copies of that IP.

When I said copies in my eariler post I was strictly referring to Manufacturer IPs.

Supposedly there was supposed to be a local manager calling me but..... still never has. CS would not give any direct response.
So sorry can't really help. There is still one that I go to that takes whatever coupons so it is not all of them at least.
