Coupon Policy: Albertson's RMR Coupon Policy

06/05/11 MOD NOTE: I contacted Albertsons for an updated coupon policy. I was informed that the stores in the RMR area are now "Limited Liability" corporations. As such, they operate independently of one another and each store has its own coupon policy. In addition, each store's manager has the "final say," meaning (s)he has the authority to intrepret the store's written coupon policy as (s)he deems appropriate.

Therefore, YMMV with the policy below.

The Supervalu Coupon Policy
Manufacturer Coupons: Coupons issued by the manufacturer containing: terms of agreement, face value, expiration date, and verbiage manufacturer coupon. They have handling instructions printed on them.
Most manufacturer coupons have barcodes on them and can be scanned. Any coupons that do not scan or do not have barcodes should be checked for validity of expiration date and purchase requirements.

Albertsons may issue coupons that are manufacturer coupons that contain the words redeemable only at Albertsons.

In order to provide better values for our customers and to continue to deliver the best pricing possible in our weekly ads, we will discontinue the acceptance of competitors coupons. Albertsons is the last retail grocer in most of our operating areas to discontinue this practice.

Our goal is to insure that our customers always have a pleasant shopping experience, so we have decided to take a strategic approach and eliminate these coupons and offer our customers some new promotions in their place.

Double & Triple coupons policy (when offered)
Coupons under 39- cents are tripled (not exceeding retail value)
Coupons between 40  50-cents are doubled (not exceeding retail value)
A maximum of 4 like coupons (exact same items) may be used for the double or triple promotion, in excess of 4 like coupons will be at face value only.
A maximum of 75 coupons per transaction.

Internet Coupons: Internet coupons printed from an authorized website must clearly state Internet Coupon on the top, valid internet coupons are redeemable only with a qualifying purchase.

Albertsons does NOT accept internet coupons containing the following conditions:
Free product offers that do not require a purchase
Redemption value exceeds $5.00
Absence of valid UPC bar code
Manufacturer coupons may not be copied or reproduced in any way and must meet the following conditions:
Manufacturer terms and agreement must be on coupon
Face value of coupon must be stated
Coupon must have expiration date
Coupon must be identified as a Manufacturer Coupon
Must contain bar code that can be scanned
Eligible manufacturer coupons are intended for one time use and cannot be redeemed more than once.

Reminder:
Albertsons reserves the right to refuse any coupon(s) that does not meet our company guidelines. We do not accept fraudulently produced coupon offers including those altered or produced through use of a personal computer or copier.
Most internet sites will print a time and date stamp on the coupons, and limit each ISP address to two coupons total. If multiple coupons have the same time and date stamp this could be an indicator the coupon was photocopied, and should not be accepted.
