I did two deals today too - neither produced the cats

First was

8 Viva paper Towels - $15.92
4 Progressive Broth - $5.96
4 Wishbone dressing - $7.96
1 Knorr rice side - $.99
Total: $30.83

Second:

4 - Best Foods Mayo - $11.96
12 - Pasta and Rice Sides - $11.88
2 - Wishbone Dressing - $3.98
2 - Viva Paper Towels - $3.98
Total: 31.80

What they did was take the paper towels - run them until they hit > $30.00 - twice to get me my $30.00 in Catalinas.

They just said there must have been an item in the orders that wasn't included - the only thing I can think of is maybe not all the Progresso were in the deal (they only had one chicken left - so I got 3 reduced sodium chicken) or maybe some of the pasta or rice sides I got weren't included. I'll compare to the UPC list a little further just to see if I can spot anything. The nice thing was my cashier was fantastic and just did whatever needed to be done to get it right - my favorite Albertson's ROCKS!

I had the worst experience I have ever had couponing at my store today... I checked out and my $15 cat didn't print even though I spent over $31 ($21 after coupons) on Progresso soup & Yo-plus yogurt. The cashier didn't seem to care or even try to help. I had to find a leader to help & she figured it out (I still don't know why they didn't print but she scanned something a bunch of times & gave me what came out).

Then I had a raincheck for Ronzoni healthy harvest at $0.70 and was accused of coupon fraud when I wanted to use a $1/2 coupon. She missed 1/2 my coupons & I later found them in the one bag she actually bagged & one was in her till (the rest were tossed on the counter & my reusable bags were tossed aside so I ended up bagging myself). When I went back to customer service (again, the poor man) he instructed me to get back in the cashier's line & she would fix the problem. I waited for a few transactions (5 minutes or so) and the cashier tried to send me back to customer service! I wouldn't let her, she accused me of coupon fraud again, never apologized & practically tossed my $ at me. She blamed me and the computer for the coupons not being scanned. In the meantime, the customers waiting behind me were getting frustrated as well... I felt so bad!

To make matters worse, there were no doublers & I never rolled my catalina (this was my first trip for this promotion) because I was so frustrated & I have so much to do today (my day without kids).

Sigh, deep breath, off to work. Thanks for "listening" to my vent!!!!

GDA Fleischmann's yeast sale $1.29, double insert Qs 10-04-09 SS and 11/8/09 get 50c OYNO each one. Insert Qs are 40c/1 or 50c/1.

addysclosetandmore - where is your store? That is terrible. A couple of my Wishbone coupons wouldn't scan and 2 of my viva didn't - It was strange because my other 4 wishbone and other 8 viva DID scan fine. (I have 5 computers in my house!). The viva coupons were regular insert coupons too - not internet ones.

But I had a much different result than you did - I have 2 stores in my town and one seems to be more as you described - the other one is excellent with the best employees ever.

I vowed to not get flustered this trip and to have all my stuff ready etc. I did for my two spend $30 get $15, but then on my final 'regular' stuff I forgot 3 coupons and doublers that I had..... so missed out on about $5.00 more in savings.

I'm glad your experience was better, sorry you missed out on the $5, if you went back with your coupons would they fix it? It's so easy to get flustered with so many coupons. I go with a list of scenarios and then they end up being out of something and it throws everything off, lol!

My store is usually AWESOME (I've even had great experiences with this cashier). We only have one store here, I was so frustrated I emailed corporate. The string of events leading to my special order of the Ronzoni was horrible as well; they acted like I was trying to take all of their stock (that was the reason I was trying to order, not to take everything off the shelf) and then today when I went to get it they didn't have it because they had put it on the shelf instead of holding it for me.... they hadn't even called to tell me it was in. At least they offered to extend my rain check & I'm hoping I'll be able to get more coupons by then (I only was able to get 16 boxes today; I wanted 40).

I'm going to try to go back tomorrow, kids in tow, and try to roll my cat since Tues I'm stuck without a car!

I am so thankful for this place, it's nice to know that you care & UNDERSTAND, I don't know any other couponers very well.

I noticed today while on my first run through, scotties tissues were $1.50, and I had just printed the scotties tissues $1/1 IP last night..see database,,say NO to do you use,or will get a $.50/1 qpon. I used my q's with doublers, and got free tissue, and overage, of course they do not give overage or adjust coupons down, so had other items to absorbe the extra 50 cents. who can't use free tissue this time of year?

Where is the tissues $1/1 IP? I searched in the db, nothing found.. only insert coupon of $1/2 showing up..

You didn't? We did here in Spokane. You're in CDA, right? That's the only Albies in N Idaho that I know of.
