Default Re: Albertsons NW ad : Oct. 21-27

I know I've posted this in separate threads, but I'm just wanting to cover my bases:
General announcement to everyone:

Don't be tempted to copy internet printed coupons. IT IS FRAUD, and a CRIME! Each coupon printed from SmartSource, General Mills, Pillsbury, RedPlum, etc., has a unique code stating the date and time of printing, and there may be other unique numbers or codes as well. Stores will only be reimbursed for the first coupon. If they submit multiples of the same coupon, they may be investigated for coupon fraud. Naturally, they will try to take it back to the source, the shopper. If it causes them too much trouble to weed out copied coupons, they can and will stop allowing printable coupons altogether. This hurts us all.
Unfortunately, unless a coupon is an actual PDF file, most coupons are connected to a software that limits the number of prints, either per computer, per account if you have to log-in to print, or total prints for a campaign. This puts a dent in the number of coupons we can all use, unlike insert coupons, where we can just buy or collect more papers.

So, how bad is it if you are caught using a counterfeit or photocopied coupon? According to CIC (the Coupon Information Center):
Penalties for those convicted of coupon fraud related crimes vary by each case and the number of laws violated.
As of this date,
Longest prison sentence: 17 years
Highest financial penalty: $5 million
Prison sentences of three to five years are not uncommon. Financial penalties generally vary, but have often been in excess of $200,000.

I know the economy is tough, but one way for us all to look out for each other is to make sure we're all following the rules. Hot Coupon World does not support any illegal use of a coupon, including copying them.

One of the Albertsons stores in my area said someone had come in and used a bunch of copied coupons. Since then they look mine over pretty well. It made me mad to think that someone could do that AND would ruin it for the rest of us.

Default Re: Albertsons NW ad : Oct. 21-27

My local WM told me a few months back, when I brought in a $10 Leapfrog Didj IP and they called the manager over to look it over, that a couple of ladies had gotten hundreds of dollars worth of something using IPs that made the items either free or darn near free. When WM submitted the IPs, they were told that they were only being reimbursed for 1 of them, because the others were copies.

My WM still hates taking IPs and most of the time, will call a manager over, even if don't have multiples and they are for lower amounts. I hate it when greedy people ruin things for the rest of us... :(

I think we're both getting better, and I think it actually was H1N1. Thank goodness we didn't have to go to the hospital or anything, but it does wear ya out. I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I've made a big Albies run! I'm gettin' rusty, and we need stuff to eat! I have a whole 2 bags of Nerds (found a B1G1F cat in Albies parking lot, LOL) for Halloween, and that's it.

They have a small shrimp ring for 8.99. It is on sale BOGO. You can use 2 $2 blinkies to get them for 2.50 each.
I did this last week. The shrimp rings were in a different freezer than the artic shores bags.
