QUESTION Albertsons NW: Gas discount: how does it work?

Sorry totally new to the region. My question is about 5cents discount for gas. Can I combine more than one 5cents discount/gallon in one time, meaning getting 10-15-20 cents of gas at one pumping?

Thanks!

Please call them.

It is so convoluted they had to explain it to DH twice. I just typed the whole thing out & my computer fritzed. In a nutshell, I have 30 cents savings. They will let you only use these for 20 gallons, one time. Then you have to start building again. 5 cents for every $50 spent in store.
So, I am only saving $6 after spending $300 in their store. Math: 30cents gallon off x 20 gallons=$6 savings.
You can save your cents off, but it doesn't help you that much.
Safeway is better at 10 cents/gallon, but they are a union store & even more expensive than Albies on regular prices.

The 5 cents per $50 is accumulative but they will only let you use a max of $1.50 off at a time (I never get there since I fill out my tank so much). Safeway has started making you spend $100 before you get a 10 cent reward so it is no better than albies now. Although if you have a big tank (like our truck) then Safeway is better in that it doesn't limit the amount of gallons but if you use the card readers at the pump it shuts off at a certain $$ amount anyways. DH uses the discounts we get at Safeway to fill the truck and I use the discounts at Albies to fill my car.

Jenrose was right on with her explanation. The only thing I would add, the info about how much you have earned (on your receipt) isn't always accurate. I used my $.35 this morning, then went into Albies and did a couple of trans. The 1st one said I still had $.35 then went down to $.00. I've noticed this before too, my Receipt isn't always correct.

Also should add... the dollars accumulate on the price, not the cost after coupons and discounts. So today I got 6 Darigold singles. Used 3 1.00/2 coups and doublers... paid tax only... but accumulated $6 towards gas... so I think its pretty good.
