Supervalu has actually done a lot to help our company since buying us in 2006, where it went wrong is when Larry Johnson took over as CEO in the late 90's. He bought out a few companies that were struggling and it drained our funds that should have been used to help the stores already in existence. While Supervalu is closing some stores (mostly the chains we should not have bought!) and making small changes, it is all for the better and in this economy I am proud and lucky to be working for them... everyone still needs food, my job is safe!

Both of the Richland stores have up the sign saying no competitor coupons as of 1/31/09. Not sure about the others

i live in boise idaho where albertsons was founded by joe albertson so long ago. the small changes that you talk of being done by supervalu include most of the corporate jobs being relocated to minnisota. sorry, but that's crap and i think it's wrong. one of my best friends works for corporate and has for years and right now she is in jeapordy of losing her job or having to relocate to a state she has no desire to live in. that is not a small change.

Sorry that your friend has to make such a big decision. These things happen, especially when you work for such a large company. Not to sound rude but your friend has had since June of 2006 to either find a new career or get ready to move...it only makes since that Supervalu would want all their office staff in one area.

I feel the need to jump in here. Just curious what your purpose on this board is? Seems that you are just trolling around, causing trouble. You seem to be pretty negative (yes, you do sound rude) and lack empathy for some of the posters.

So you are serious, that you think someone really had since June of 2006 to find a new career or get ready to move. I will do the math for you, that is close to 3 YEARS!! Do you really think this person has been told, for sure, for 3 years that he/she would have to move. Gimmee a break!!

I think you have too much time on your hands, hopefully it is not Alby's time. Since us couponers do pay your salary. If it is not Alby's time, start working some deals and post something meaningful.

Wow. Of course this is not on Albertson's time! The reason I got on here in the first place was because some of my customers were worried about the "no longer taking comp coupons anymore" thing and I finally asked where the heck they were getting that info... because it was not from our stores. Once I got on here I saw someone posting false information about how they could use their comp coupons... (12 pizzas for $5). I felt that I should correct them, I wouldn't want you all taking what you learn on here as accurate store policy. As for my latest post, I saw someone being negative about my company and wanted to defend it (Albertson's has gone down hill since Supervalu took over). If this is not meaningful to you, then don't read it, but last I checked the internet and this site was open to everyone.
