QUESTION Gas Rewards?

Anyone know the details on the Gas Rewards program? The bottom of my receipt today has:

Congratulations! You have earned $0.05 off per gallon, up to 20 gallons, in Gas Rewards! Expires 02/16/09

Receive $0.05 OFF per gallon in Gas Rewards for every qualifying $50.00 purchase.

Do I need to show the receipt when I get gas? Or is it tied into my Albertsons card? Can I "save up" and stack several of these to get 10cents or 20cents or whatever off per gallon?

Thanks for any clarification on this program - I have never noticed this on my receipts before.

It's tied to your card, if you swipe the credit card size one or punch in the preferred card # before you get gas it will take it off.
One thing to mention too, it's accumulative, so you can get up to $2 off per gallon if you are some how able to spend that much money at albertsons

Cool! Thanks! I was hoping it was accumulative. It seems to be tied to Normal price, not sale price or the price you actually paid, so it may not be that hard to build it up to a good discount.

Dollar Re: Gas Rewards?--may be better than we thought!

I wasn't really tracking this that closely, but today hubby had to fill up the big tank, so I gave him one of my receipts to make sure he punched in the right card number, just for grins. I knew we'd spent a lot at Albies lately (esp. since this is based on reg, not pref card price) but via Murphy's Law, I figured we'd get 5¢ off for 20 gal, a whopping $1. But. . . he just called to say that it gave him 55¢ off for the whole 40 gal tank. That's $22!!!!
I'll check the receipt when he gets home, but that's a heckuva deal!

Edit: Guess it was only the first 20 gal, but that's still $11 off! I thought we'd have to use these one at a time, but it looks cumulative which is much easier. Woohoo!

A few weeks ago, I paid $0.70 a gallon for 20 gallons. After I finished the P&G deal with rolling my cats, at the bottom of my receipt it read "save $1.35 off your next gas purchase". I was thrilled because taking into consideration the coupons I've used, I racked up $1300 in gas rewards.

Got a sheet about the gas rewards in the W WA area at the gas station:
Earn Gas rewards at (stores listed are in these cities):
Auburn (2), Bonney Lake, Burien (2), Bremerton, Gig Harbor, Kingston, Lacey, Olympia, Port Orchard (2), Poulsbo, Puyallup (2), Seattle (only 10616 16th Ave store listed), Silverdale, Spanaway & Tumwater.
Redeem Gas Rewards at:
Bonney Lake, Bremerton, Burien, Kingston, Port Orchard, Spanaway & Tumwater.
Says earn 5c/gallon on $50 in qualified purchases (excludes prescriptions, money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, Albertsons gift cards and fuel or other products prohibited by law), it's good on your first 20 gallons, Gas Rewards expire 90 days from the date of award issuance. Pump transaction will STOP at 20 gallons when using your gas rewards. Separate transaction required if you want to purchase additional fuel after the first 20 gallons. For less than 20 gallons, rewards will reset to zero after transaction completes. This is a limited time offer.
