Albertsons NW: FREE or almost FREE with doublers 5/10 to 5/12

Just got back from Albertsons and they would not accept my double coupons for anything except exactly the amount of my coupon. For example, I wanted to buy pop tarts for $1.99 with a $1 MQ and they would not accept it. Any suggestions? Should I call corporate? I'm not one to make a ruckus. This is the most handy Albertson's to me so it would be hard to travel elsewhere whenever there are doubles. Oh, my....sigh!

I have never had a problem. Maybe go during a different time of day? I have noticed different shifts treat things differently.

I also have had problems at one store but I have several stores to shop at so I am carefull at the problem store.

This happened to me once, I told them it was "up to" 1.00 and to just double it up to .99. They were ok with that. Their big concern was a penny overage.

Hershey's all natural extra dark chocolate bars 3.52oz are free or almost with the $1/1 (4/19/09 SS) and doubler. Some at my store rang up at 1.71 and some at 2.29. Worth the effort ~ this is a taste of paradise in my book.

Ronzoni smart taste pasta is 1.79 according to the website so free after the $1/1 4/05 SS doubled.

Trident single pack @1.29 should be free after .75/1 5/10SS doubled.

Darigold flavored milk 16oz are $1 this week so 2 free after $1/2 04/05 SS doubled. (My 6yo DD has been waiting on this one! Love that strawberry milk!)

I think that the Kraft Instant Mac & Cheese cups were 10/$10 and there is a printable on coupons.com for $1/2 ... that means $2/2 = FREE yes? :) I love these things.
