Re: Albertson's Corporate Coupon Policy The rule that Albertson's will not accept internet coupons for free items has been around for a few years now. It doesn't mean that they will not accept a $-off coupon that results in an item being free (just ask everyone that got free Muir Glen tomatoes recently). It just means that you can't walk in with an IP that says "Get a package of X absolutely free!" with or without a max value. There aren't many of these even around anymore, but a few years ago there were more, and there was a lot of fraud. Personally, I don't blame them. At least they have made the decision to take IP's - also a couple of years ago, a lot of people were getting hassled all the time at their stores when they used IP's. Ithink they came out with a definitive policy because of all the calls to corporate they were getting from couponers - especially ones in areas that have lousy inserts.
As for making you print in color, that's just silly. Have you called your DM and asked if that's really necessary? If they're trying to prevent photocopying - hello - have you heard of a color copier? Some IP's even have the language telling the retailer that the coupon is acceptable whether in color or black and white. Since they're the ones redeeming the coupons, I'd go with what they say.
