Albertsons (Florida) ~ Other: more stores closing

i went into the store on obt today to get a turkey and the best clerk they have in there said they are closing she thinks the end of dec or start of jan :sad: ( no more $5 off's to use at publix) she also said that the store in kissimmiee will close and some more but dont remember which ones , she said that a company from south fl bought them and will open a new store there plus everyone is getting let go :shrug7: so sad with the way the job market is i asked if the new store wouldnt take the workers and she said no there all being let go , and she thinks that the closing sale will start the 3rd or 4th of dec. nothing let now but publix

On October 5th, 2009, Albertsons LLC announced plans to close 3 stores in the Orlando, FL area. The stores located at John Young Parkway and Highway 192 in Kissimmee, Orange Blossom Trail and Deerfield Ave in South Orlando, and the store located at Curry Ford Road and Semoran Ave were all sold to Sedano's Supermarket. The scheduled closing of these Albertsons is January 3rd, 2010, with the scheduled take over by Sedano's January 7th 2010.[19]

Oh thats so sad. All of those workers losing their jobs.
