SAD Powerade issues

So I went to the providence store after football practice to get some more powerade and some bread. Cashier took my get 5 free wyb 10 coupon to CS and CS said I needed to buy 10 more since I already got the 5 free from the Albertson's sale. I tried to explain that the Albertson's sale took off the price of 5, and the manu q took off the price of another 5 and she would not hear it. I said thank you and left the store, did not make a purchase. OMG the lady in line behind me was all eye rolling and in the parking lot she looked and me and did that really loud frustrated sigh noise. Whatever, I know what she was thinking, it was FIVE bucks, why be a jerk over saving FIVE bucks? If she only knew how much I can get with FIVE bucks. And I was not a jerk. Stated my case, got shot down, and decided to take my business up the road. :shrug7:I digress.

So I went to the Lithia store. Nice cashier, no prob. Except he ADDED $5 to my total instead of taking it off. I paid but it felt like it was too much. Looked at my receipt after and showed him. He did a return and gave me $5 back. I said, no, it should be $10. You added $5 to my total and did not take off $5 for the coupon. You owe me $5 for what you added AND $5 for the value of my coupon. He had a long line so he called the manager over. I tried to explain and asked her if that made sense and she said NO!! OMG. She took my receipt and manually added it all up, I reminded her that the $5 in generic grocery cost was actuallly my coupon he charged me for instead of taking off. She insisted I was not owed another dime. So I said, that is OK, lets just do a fully return and refund. So she asked the cashier to handle that and he said, we owe her $5 and she glared at him and said REALLY? Cuz I don't see it. He said, we do. She said, if YOU want to make the refund transaction then do it, I won't. and then she stalked off to the hidden camera viewing room.

He gave me the $5 back. I hate that I am now the cheating couponer.

GRRRRR. I think I might report her stomping off behavior. Sleeping on it.

I don't know how I missed this post, but ugh !!! I hate it when stuff like this happens. Especially the "rolling eye" lady in line. It just doesn't make sense why they would give you such a hard time at the Providence store since they will be closing soon.:hectic1:

Makes you want to tell them it's stuff like this that has put them out of business, but I would never actually say something like that to people that are losing their jobs.

I've had issues with this coupon as well a month or so ago. I then sent an e-mail to corporate, the store manager called me and apologized and said that yes they will take the coupon and he was going to tell everyone. The next time I used it in that store, no problem (South Chase area). I then tried to do it at the Kissimmee store and the manager was the check out guy. He handed me back the coupon and said "keep these because you're already getting 5 free." I said I know, and I want 5 more free like the coupon said. Why do they argue with that? Why can't they understand how that deal works?
