HAPPY DANCE Bumblebee Tuna - Happy Experience

I got a rain check for the $1.00 2.5oz tuna pouch, no quantity listed. I went today to redeem, they only had 60 on the shelf, I didn't want to clear, so I asked manager to order me 100. Took a bit of going back and forth with customer service manager and store manager but finally got a special order of 100. I know it was an issue of loss leader but considering these sell for $1.19 at Super Walmart and my Albertons will get $1.08 for each since I have coupons, I don't feel like I am taking advantage. I am so happy this store agreed to do it, I will go there for my "off coupon" items too. Bloomingdale and Providence

Awesome. I find that store to be much more coupon friendly. The store at Bloomingdale and Lithia seems to stay stocked a bit better, but the Customer Service desk leaves a lot to be desired. Today was the first time I've ever asked that store for a copy of the upcoming ad and she told me they don't have it. Told her the other store always has it on Saturday and she said they don't get it.
I find that hard to believe as they are only a few miles apart.

I'll be at the Providence store tomorrow to get our new ad.

Yeah, the one on Lithia and Bdale would only give me a rain check for 20. But they are very nice. I never have service issues at either store.

Hmm, I wish I had your store. I asked mine for a raincheck and to order cases of the pink powerade for me. They asked why and I said it was a great deal combined with my coke rewards coupons. The CS manager told me that they won't create special orders for people with coupons. I really can't take them sometimes. First they wouldn't make me smaller packages of meat - we don't eat THAT much pork, then telling me that they absolutely cannot adjust the price of a coupon down, now they can't special order for people with coupons.

I'd be on the horn to the corp office over that last comment!! Like people that use coupons are not WORTHY of a special order?

I did, I put an email in and left a message at the store for the store manager to call me back. Nothing yet...I'm not holding my breath. I don't know why they're so darn cruel at this store. They act like I have the plague because I use coupons!

See, the way I see it is my store is gonna make a $108 sale. $100 for my q's and $8 to 'handle' them. I have been told this tuna sells for $1.29 to $1.50 so I am SURE they will make money (plenty) at the $1 price. If not for my q's...I would NOT have given this store a $108 sale. Most likely, Walmart would have gotten the 16 q's I got in my paper and I would not have actively worked to get more. But because of Albertson's sale, I used my q's there.

But you know, even Publix, a supppppppeeeeeeerrrrrr coupon friendly store is starting to really crack down on rain checks. I can't believe the rigamorole you have to go thru to get one now. I wonder if they will be adverse to making large special orders in the near future?

So, got my 100 pouches of tuna today. I got the feeling the CS gal was not in a good mood or something. She is not usually rude - but today she made me feel really bad.

I told her I got a call that my special order was in and wanted to pick it up. She asked how many I ordered and I said 100 so she went behind the counter and did something (I couldn't see) and said, yep, 100. And then nothing. So I said, um, did you need to go get someone to bring them to me and she said, no they are here, do you want them? :shrug7:Um, yes, I'd like them. So she plops them in my cart. I stood there. She finally looked up at me like what? I said, are you going to ring me up? She said, don't you have more shopping to do? I said, well, guess i could go get some chicken. She said go get it, - and then she saw the coupons. She said, OH, you have COUPONS too? I said, yep, 100 of them. She then said, well I need to figure out what to do since this is REALLY going to hold up the customers the line you go in!

HELLO? Am I NOT making at 105.90 PURCHASE?? I guess I became a couponer today, and not a customer?

I went to get my chicken and she had another gal take a big ol display and put it at the front of a check out lane to block anyone from getting in line, and had a nice cashier ring me up. It took all of maybe 5 minutes, prob less. She rang in 100 at $1 in one key in and then very quickly scanned the q's. I said, glad that didn't take as long as everyone thought it would and she sort of smiled and said yeah...guess they don't know about entering a quantity.

Anyway, I have the tuna but i really got a yucky feeling like I was stealing from this store and that does not make me happy since it has been my happy store for so long.

They are just jealous that you got all that for free! they don't care about the extra $8 they make, just that you got that for free. I am glad that you got your order done with no problems. I would never had been allowed to get that many, and use coupons on them at the same time. My store is NOT coupon friendly.

As for the other poster about the powerade....the stores do not place orders for powerade, the Coke rep does. Now the store could have asked the coke rep to do it for you, but I guess they were probably being lazy. I tried once to get the Coke rep to order me some extra and you know what he said "Well its going on sale next week at a better price so I won't order it for you this week" GRRR..I tried to explain about the deal and the catalina that was being given at the time, but he was just not getting it--lol. I just hit a few different stores as 2 grocery stores were running the same deal and catalina at the same time. Darn Coke rep(LOL--my brother in law, figured he would understand with my coupon habit)
