Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It's back to work I go
Always looking for BTFE's!
BUMP!
I'd love to see some good trips posted here!
I got 26 Hershey's bars, 2 bags of Albertsons russet potatos and 3 packs of pork chops for under $2 (I don't have my receipt in front of me). The Hershey's are BOGO and I had BOGO q's, the potato's are BOGO and I had a get one free this week home mailer, and the pork chops were Hormel and I used $1/1 q's on them!!
We are not big "fresh" or baked/boiled tater eaters, have GOBS of mashed tater bags and scallop boxes etc so I think I will shred these taters and freeze for hash browns. I need to google how to freeze fresh shredded taters - blanch first or no need??

Albie's was great for me this week. I kept rolling the mustard and ended up with 30 bottles and had $10 in OYNO. So I bought 12#'s of the country ribs for free. I'm not much of an Albie's shopper but I might have to start taking a better look.
There was not much that I needed to stock on this week but the bagelfuls and quakes were calling my name so I went to 2 stores and got the following:
Store #1:
10 quakes
4 bagelfuls
Total OOP was $2.93
Total saved was $30.93
Store #2
10 quakes
4 bagelfuls
4 huge tomatos
This transaction total was $9.61 and that did not seem right. I had her check the number of items she rang up and it was right, so I paid and then looked at my receipt. She rang in my 4 tomatos as hydroponic instead of the $1/1. So I went to CS. They refunded me $4.43 cuz you get one item free if they ring up something wrong. Soooo
Total OOP was $5.18
Total saved was $34.64
At one store I was approaching the quakes and 2 ladies came around the corner eyeing me and the quakes. I nicely only took 6 and went to get the bagelfuls. The one lady stood behind the other while she got her stash, then she got her stash. I saw this cuz I came back. I watched the 2nd lady count what was in her basket and then pull out a white envie and count coupons, and then grab some more quakes. There were 4 caramel ones left left so I took those when she was done.
I am happy to see fellow couponers in my stores. Who knows, maybe I was watching you!!

I’m normally a Publix girl, but I had some time to kill in Winter Park this morning and stopped at Albertson’s to pick up a few items. Since it was an impromptu shopping trip, I didn’t have my bags with me, so I was thrilled to see reusable bags for sale near the registers. They’re a similar style to the Publix bags (paper bag style with handles), but they have a cute graphic on the front and say “Celebrate and protect your environment. Reuse this bag when you shop at Albertson’s.” Best of all, they cost only $1. I’m not sure if that’s the regular price or a special, but what a great deal. I was excited to see reusable bags being carried in another large grocery chain. It seems like “green” is really catching on!
Five years ago, Jessica traded “making green” for “going green” becoming a stay-at-home mom who likes to save the planet in her spare time. This two-time Ironman finisher finds that years of triathlon training prepared her well for the endurance sport of motherhood. She spends her days changing cloth diapers, preparing organic meals for her family and teaching family nutrition as a Juice Plus health educator. At night, she dreams about the introduction of the first hybrid minivan and moonlights as a technical writer so she’ll be able to afford it.
For some reason not all Publix stores sell the bags. The one around the corner from my house does, but not the one 5 minutes further. I asked why they don’t sell them but no one had an answer for me.
I was shopping in Pier 1 yesterday and they are selling reusable bags for $2. It’s such a great idea and I’m so glad to see it catching on.
