    DD3 Albertsons FL: Tilapia B1G2

It is $8.99/bag at my Brandon store. It is on sale this week at Publix for $5.69/lb, fresh. I will use the Albi q as a competitor this week...check out the Hormel post I am gonna make in a bit here for a happy Albi deal!

I'm not an Albie's person, but this looks like a great deal if they have them at Publix. If you could, help me understand this deal. Do I need the coupon from the Albies flyer? If so, is that the flyer that is typically available in Albie's stores? And I just go to Publix and get fresh tilapia??? Help! :) :) :)
    Thank you much!

Yes, you need the coupon that is in the Albie's flyer. The coupon is for 16oz Tilapia B1G2. I asked the seafood person to pack up 3 - 1lb packs of tilapia.

I called ahead and was told it was OK, but once I got to the store the meat manager refused to accept the coupon, saying it had to be for a like item. Tchnically, a like item is a 16 oz bag of frozen tilapia, not fresh product.

He had a point. I did not argue.

    Thank you both. :)
I will just double check with the manager on duty. I went in tonight close to closing time and they said they'd honor it, but the seafood department was all closed up. I'll try tomorrow. I printed out their ad from online, it prints up tiny on an 8.5 x 11...but I'll see if they accept it. Does anyone know offhand if that is acceptable?

    Thanks again!

Actually the coupon (at least the one I have) says "Fresh Harvest, 16oz." It does not say frozen. And the meat manager is not the authority. The store manager is.

I'd call and ask if they will accept one printed from an online ad. Can you go by Albies and pick up a flyer?

The product at Albertson's is indeed a bag of frozen fish.

Correct. However the coupon does not state Frozen. As with most use of competitor q's, YMMV. It is up to the store manager.
