SW FTWorth Albertson's closing

Just happened to go in there, they are closing in a month, not sure of the date. Location is Hulen/I20 across the freeway from Hulen Mall (Home Depot/Petsmart shopping center)

Meat is 5% off
Grocery 10% off
General Merchandise (includes cigarettes, baby, medications, etc) 30% off
They will accept manufacturer coupons (face value only), no Albertsons coupons
No more ads, they are working off closeout prices

Didn't find too much except store brand Benedryl 100 count BOGO $5.99 with 30% off, sorry I have to give 9 per day to my beast of a dog due to allergies so I grabbed all 8 boxes. Discount was $7.20 so a little over $2 a box. Glad to be in stock of that, I go through it so fast!

I did notice the store brand baby wipes are marked down to I think $1.27 or so for 80. Good deal I thought for anyone who needs them!

I asked the cashier if he thought they would reduce prices more and he wasn't sure but didn't think so, hope he's wrong!

I went there yesterday as well and they were still offering the sale prices and doubling/tripling coupons. I got 4 Gatorades, 3 Pasta Roni's & 1 O Organics Yogurt for $1.01. They even took the 10% discount off the before coupon price.

They are closing the last few days of February and the discounts should raise as the weeks progress. In this area we have 4 Albies but now will only have 2, they just closed the TCU one a few weeks ago and moved all that merchandise to the Alton Street store so I don't know how they could afford to not mark the merchandise down more.

Hmmm...maybe they decided to go ahead and D/T because when I was in there I watched the screen and my q's definitely didn't multiply! I'll try to go back tonight and see if they do this time. I need to get more of the benedryl anyway, hopefully they still have them.

that is sad to hear that an Albies is closing. Sadly I fear the same will happen to the New Braunfels one when they open our second HEB.
