I received my ad yesterday but left it at home. Maybe I can find time this evening to give a sneak.
Got a "funny" cashier story for the books. I was buying Hefty stuff and Chinet napkins, coupons on everything. Cashier scanned the Hefty coupons no problem but when she got to the Chinet ones, she was counting them and reading. Then pointed out they were $1 and the product was on sale for $1 so I would be getting them for free (and???) so I could not use them. Rather than going away, I requested politely she check with a manager. Store director came over and she explained the coupons were for $1 and the product was $1 so was it OK to use. He, of course, said that is fine. She mumbled they weren't supposed to do that in the past. She was very stoic when handing me the receipt. What?? No thank you and have a nice day!!
I took the opportunity to step over the Store Director who was then bagging two registers over and thank him for his input and I was not trying to do anything wrong. He responded I did it just perfect.
This same cashier gave me an issue when I purchased some clearanced jalapenos jars (.50 each) with .75/2 coupons. She kept saying I could not use because the item was .50 and the face value was higher. I kept responding ".75 on two." She finally went to another cashier and came back to enter them manually. Ugh! |
