So THAT's why I've been seeing more mega deals this year than last year!
You can mix and match across the price points but
1. The .50 items are not part of the Mega sale
2. You have to get the proper sizes and proper varieties.
I had a problem with the cake mixes. There are 3 flavors that are included with the mega sale and they were on an end cap marked 1.50 but on the shelf all are marked 1.49 including varieties that are not included in the sale and they all rang up at 1.49.
Another warning, I asked specifically about the Suave shampoo and was told that it was part of the mega sale because they are 10/$10 but they are not and I did not get the $5.00 discount for buying them. Point being, most of the time the store doesn't know what is included. The store manager had a list that he carried around in his back pocket but I didnt' see it posted anywhere in the store and apparently the customer service dept didn't have the list either.
On a side note, I was told that Albertson's does their sales this way to prevent customers going to Wally World to price match. Now who in their right mind would do that anyway? :hectic1: Certainly not me.

Just another FYI.
I went to Albertsons and bought a 5 lb roll of hanburger meat. The sticker said $7.95. It rang up for $ 8.95 I went to the service desk and they refunded me $8.95. So I got 5 lbs hamburger meat free.
