:shrug7:Might that be a typo in the amount for the double coupon? It seems strange that both double and triple max at 35 cents!
06/04/11 MOD NOTE: I contacted Albertsons for an updated coupon policy. I was informed that the stores in Texas are now "Limited Liability" corporations. As such, they operate independently of one another and each store has its own coupon policy. In addition, each store's manager has the "final say," meaning (s)he has the authority to intrepret the store's written coupon policy as (s)he deems appropriate.
Therefore, YMMV with the policy below.

I sent an email to Albertson's Corp and their initial response was to inquire at which store I shop. After I responded, I received the following reply:

I believe they contacted the local store to inquire about the store's policies, so I think we can safely say that Albertson's Policy is YMMV.

Thank you for this. I was going to e-mail the grocery stores that I shop at for their coupon policies so that's one less store I have to contact now.
Repped you!
They do double up to $.50 (I was there earlier today (yesterday i guess since its after midnight? lol) and they doubled my $.50 coupons. They actually had a sign on the wall that says they double $.50 coupons & triple up to $.35![]()
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this or not, but I contacted Albies a few weeks back about their coupon policy. I received an email from the Division Service Manager for the DFW division. His reply specifically concerning BOGO coupons on BOGO items was that you would need three of the same product, with the computer taking the second item's total to zero and the coupon being applied to the third.
I will take the email with me in case there are any problems.
Thanks to Diz (ya'll be sure to rep her) for forwarding the email she received from the Division Service Manager. I will post his reply in the next thread so you can print it and take it with you to the store.
His reply is important because it addresses the question of using a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale.

Dear Ms. XXXXXX,
My name is Stan Nichols and I am the Division Service Manager for Albertsons.
There are a couple that I would have to go test to see if the logic is right from a register system, but I wanted to get this answered ASAP.
Here are the answers to your questions:
1. Buy one Get on Free on Sale and a coupon for the same. This is one I would have to check with the system (as this is a very usual occurrence) but if my logic is right the only way is that you would have 3 of the same product.
The system would deduct the 2nd one to zero automatically and the coupon would be applied to the 3rd item.
It does also depend on how the coupon requirements read. If you had an example we could answer better. We cannot think of a time this has occurred.
2. Using a $x off a buy one get on free. You can only use one coupon for the actual item you are paying for and it can not exceed the amount of the item.
3. One coupon per item / per purchase – Usually this one works all in one transaction with multiple coupons as long as you have the correct number of items correspond to the item. This is one that I would also have to double check the system, but to my recollection I have answered right.
4 & 5 of limit on number of coupons in a transaction and number of like coupons in a transaction, at this point in time there are no limits on these. As long as all the requirements are met according to what the coupon states and does not go above the retail price of the item.
6. We do take internet coupons, but not for free items. If a purchase is required and then a free item is given that is acceptable.
Example: Free 12 pack of soda – this would not be accepted
Example: Buy a gallon of milk recieve a free package of 16 oz Oreo cookies. This is acceptable.
I hope these answer your questions.
Sincerely,
Stan Nichols

No toes were stepped on, so not to worry. You are right it would be more cost effective to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale and get 4 for the cost of one, however that was an email sent by the Division Manager who was explaining the policy.
The way he explained it has been my experience but there are others here who have been able to get 4 during a BOGO sale. I think when they have sucessfully gotten four, the cashier was overridding the register. So this could be a YMMV situation.

Just to be clear, does anyone know if this means you can use 4 coupons for the same 1 item. For example, I buy 1 box of trash bags and I have 2 exact coupons for the trash bags, can I use them both (I guess this is like stacking, but they are exact) as long as it doesn't exceed the price of the item?
