NEWBIE fruits and Veggies

How do you get coupons for fresh fruit or veggies? I read here you can find peelies but I never have any luck finding them. Are they rare?

Earlier this year there were insert coupons for Sunkist specialty citrus. I've also seen lots of coupons for Fresh Express and Dole bagged salads.

I also found regular 3lb bags of Sunkist oranges on sale at Albertsons for $1! They had a bunch of Sunkist coupons (juice, almonds, sodas, fruit snacks) inside. I've occasionally seen tearpads there before, usually they are off meat/produce wyb kraft items.

Can't say I've ever seen peelies for produce, but I rarely have time to look for peelies (2 toddlers in tow, I make and stick to my list ahead of time to avoid chaos)

Looking for free dish stamps from Albertsons. They are offering 'Royal Doulton' Blueberry stamps for every $10 you spend from 8/23 - 12/23. You need 36 for a free dish set. I have 2/144 I need. Please PM me for a trade.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out on the inserts. I haven't been looking that hard for fruit/veggie coupons in them. I totally understand about the time. I have 1 toddler and an infant which makes shopping an "experience"

About the best I can do on a regular basis is the Fresh Express salad bags.

This is where trading is helpful. We have forums for trades and you can post ISO (in search of) requests. Other parts of the country get WT and tearpads that we don't get, and likewise, our insert coupons are sometimes of different values.

Say we have a coupon for .75 off something. We don't double at that amount but another part of the country doesn't double anything. You can possibly trade your .75 coupon for a .50 coupon with someone who lives in the LOND and you both are saving more.

You can also trade for fruits and veggies too.

I'm not a big trader (yet) but I have received some fruit and veggie coupons in the past. These are usually in the form of a WT. Some require a purchase of a different product, say salad dressing or a marinade, but hey, free is free. Combine that purchase with a sale on dressing or marinade and you've got a good deal. Remember you can combine a Free WYB with a cents off of the product required to be purchased.

Thank you for the info. I hoping to get into trading, but I have to admit I'm a little intimidated by it, since this is really new to me. Fruits and Veggies are a good portion of my grocery shopping since I make my own baby food for my little one.

Another good source (although just as hard to come by in certain parts of the country) is hang tags. I recently found a hang tag for .55 off 2 avacados. There was also a tearpad for $1.00 off bagged salad WYB SUnkist Almonds.

Keep your eyes peeled when cruising the aisles at the store.
