SAD Acme on the block?

I will be very disappointed if they sell off the entire Acme chain....again. I rather like Supervalu.

Hmmmm - my store is finally doing some much needed repairs. Especially they are putting new tile on the floor. Fav cashier told me yesterday thay they are not doing the whole store tho. "just the areas where it was real bad".
At first I thought they were trying to improve the place - but maybe its mainly cosmetic for a prospective buyer.

Don't ask me employees are always the last to know. When I closed Stop and Shop the managers only found out a few days before, we key employees kinda knew cause we were given clues.

Judy spires the president of Acme resigned today. Not a good sign IMO.

I was surprised that Acme only has 124 stores, I assumed it was somewhat higher. Since she is accepting another position, it does not sound as bad as somebody just resigning without another opportunity. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I am thinking now, that maybe some employees are on edge about ACME'S future and perhaps this is why I have received unusual poor treatment lately. (but it is no excuse for objectionable behavior)
