ACME ~ Question: Does your store double DND IP's?

I have been to a few acme's that at the SCO - the coupon slots are taped over. That's annoying. So far my "regular" store has not taped the slots.

Today I went to the Acme on Centerville, used the SCO - and was told that they "received an email" (isn't that what they always say?) that DND IP's will no longer double. Although the machine's automatically doubled the DND "they were going to have to do something about that" is what the cashier said.

The week before the cashier manually made all my IP's not double, but not all my IP's were DND. He tried to fix it once I pointed out his error but it ended up being a big mess. I asked him to void the entire order and begin again.

Should I just thank my lucky stars for all the times my DND IP's did double? Anyone else have experience? I will probably only use non IP's if this is true.

My store will undouble all the DND. Sometimes if you go at night when there is a young kid at the SCO they will go through but the cashier that is usually there most days will look over every coupon and fix them.

It depends on the cashier. Most of the full time cashiers will hit a button so they don't double. Like oreonut said some of the young cashiers just put it through. I thought I read on here a few weeks ago someone called corp and was told if it says DND they are not suppose to double it.
It's a bummer.

I went yesterday to SCO at Price's Corner and the lady undoubled all my IP! She's never done it before! Needless to say, I was annoyed... guess I'll be going to a different Acme from now on.

I never use the SCO because of the slots being taped over. In my Acme, it totally depends on the cashier. I learned which ones to go to and which ones to avoid like the plague!

It all depends. Even some of the night cashiers have stoped leaving my coupons go thru.
So IMO if it says DND and it does I got lucky.

Doylestown Acme just started manually not doubling DND5 IPs. They are now inspecting every coupon! Even a DND5 Mentos Gum from a recent Sunday insert. This happened to me twice this week. I am going to try evening shift and hope for a young person. Or possibly weekend when it's very busy and I can find a young cashier. I think a memo must have gone out. This totally wrecks a lot of my plans. the other store I have is Giant but they only double one like coupon so no stocking up unless I make multiple trips.

Latelly my experience has been that the 'NEW' kids are coupon police. Must be the newest push from management.
Yet latelly the full time cashiers put thru dnd's and never bug you about multiple '7's as the new kids do.

So my answer is...depends on the cashier.
I don't do self checkouts.

but that's just me. BTW, I find that nobody cares what my coupons are when the place is busy. They seem to just want to keep the cattle moving. Busy between 3pm and 6pm.

there is one crotchity old man and one middle aged woman that i avoid like the plague - he undoubled the Qs and she thinks she's a coupon expert and tries to make up rules as she goes (like for the $3 oyno old el paso meat cat telling me that i could only use one per item).
