I know free rocks but the Aunt Jeminah Great Starts are 1.49 (not on sale, or is this a month long sale price maybe?!) and 10 would be 4.90 after the Cat. That's .49 each for heat and serve portion controlled BF. At my tax blessing store my effective cost would be 1.95 less (.195 on the $1 'blessing') or 2.95- .295 each!!!

Ta blessing is my word for when OYNO Catalina coupons affect your tax amount on the order you use the OYNO coupon on. So if I have a $10 Cat OYNO and use it for $12 of meat my total is $12 because there is no tax. BUT!!! in my store, and some others, the Catalina coupon has a tax amount built into it. I don't know why. Only one of my stores still has this. My $12 order shows a tax amount of -$1.95 because of the 'built in tax' or whatever it is. So my total becomes $10.05 for $12 of meat!

Perhaps someone else has further insight into the why. To know if your store is a 'tax blessing' store- look at the receipt after you pay with a OYNO Cat. If your tax amount is negative (on an order without taxables) it's a blessing store. Then you just need to do this math to figure out your tax blessing RATE:

negative tax amount/cat value= 'tax blessing' on the dollar. So for my store:
1.95/10.00=.195 on the dollar

This makes for interesting math on $30/15 because I stack it three times ($90/45) and to roll the $45 over and over would mean a $8.77 blessing! I sometimes pay with $40 to take 47.80 off (with a 2.80 filler) and accumulate the extra $5 cat.

Ok, cool! I am actually pretty sure that my store does that, because I always have to add a filler or the CATS make it come to a negative amount even if the total before the cats was higher than the CAT amount.

Cool! If you figure out the blessing per dollar you can plan ahead instead of grabbing fillers at the register that you don't need. That's how I get my regular groceries for free during these deals!

I'm confused. Food is not taxed in PA so are you talking about when you buy taxable items and use a CAT to pay for them? Does Jersey charge tax on food? Thanks for your help.

Nope, food is not taxed here. But at certain stores the Catalina's have tax 'built in' somehow. The Cat doesn't care if it's a taxable order, it's value is just face value plus tax blessing. So my $10 Cat is $10 plus 'tax blessing' of .195 on the dollar= 11.95 all the time
