I just got $2 off Pampers on my avenu--woot woot!
This "one cat per order" business is incorrect, they are mistaken. I would call the store director and calmly explain that you were limited to one Cat per order and ask them to look into this matter further.
If they insist that they are right I would:
1- point out that the Conagra deal prints 2 $5 coupons and clearly states limit 2 per transaction. So where are they pulling their 'policy' out of?
2- Ask where their information is coming from
I had this come up at a store recently. The manager went as far as calling Catalina and the manufacture (GM in that instance) and confirmed that their is NOT a limit of one per order. Occasionally, like the Congra deal, it could indicate a limit. It seems unusual. The others we are getting right now do not indicate any limit far as I can tell.
The GM one did say 'limit one per purchase'. A purchase being an ITEM, just like it states on all our coupons. The intent of the wording is to keep me from using 5 Crest coupons on 1 Crest item.
Fight the power! Assume the manager will be on your side, and be friendly. Maybe they'll suprise you. If not...corporate all the way baby.
Since Avenu is not showing Crest etc... I did the Snapple/Conagra.
I spent .21 and got back $10. I love it! $100 more for the free ham.
I asked my neighbor that I think is a manager. He thought one catalina but called someone else over. I think it was the new store manager. He looked at my 3 cats....I had asked to use two. He shrugged and said sure so I ran to SCO and used 3.![]()
The line they used on me was in the fine print. "This offer can not be combined with any other promotional offer." They say the other cat is another promotional offer regardless of which manufacturer is was from.
I was a weenie and didn't know what to say. I made a couple comments about how a policy like that was illogical for the store and tried using the ad saying it was $10 on your next order not $5 but all I got was shoulder shrugs. I should have asked for the manager but was worried they may look at my cart and the coupon bin and realize I had just used many cats together ($24 from last week just to start and then was rolling today for 3 transactions).
I had done 1 P&G/ 1 Savetonight/ 1 GM
Then 1 P&G/ 1 Savetonight
Then 1 more Savetonight
I had 19 boxes of puffs in my cart, 16 packs of pudding, 10 WW and 10 Swiss Miss so the assistants manager's radar went up I think.

I did ask if this was something new and the "white shirt lady" said yes because of the way people are using them.
Then my favorite cashier said first they say we can except more than one, then they say we can't, then we can, then we can't........ so it appears to be a whatever they feel like at the time kind of thing.
But that makes it kind of hard to plan!! I might just move on to somewhere else for a bit and go back in a couple months.

So I emailed the contact us off of Acme's website and got a response within hours. See I know why I love Acme.

I have just loved shopping at Acme but ran into a problem today. I made a purchase that gave me $10 in catalinas towards my next order in the form of 2 $5's. On my next order I used the 2 $5's and was told I could only use 1. The ad stated $10 on your next order, not $5 each on your next two orders.
I would just like an email sent with the actual policy concerning accepting catalinas. Am I only allowed to use 1 catalina or should those be unlimited?
It makes it about impossible to plan a grocery trip when the policy changes each time I go.

:hectic1:Ok so NOw I get it My store's weekly sales go from FRIDAY to THURSDAY BUT My Avenu goes from THURSDAY to WEDNESDAY!!!
GRRR Today I canceled one order because nothing came off the King Arthur and I returned 6 tubes of crest because nothing came off 3 different orders. NOW after returning home and going to the avenu I realize this why it is set up this way is beyond me!:hectic1:

The light was on for the Catalini machine but nothing came out on my first order.
Didn't realize it until I went to pull the cat out of the folded receipt from order #1 to pay for order #2.
Questioned it and paid with credit card and we all stared at the green light and heard the machine beeping and printing...turns out there was a paper jam!!! Now out two cats but at least the scribble was proof of my earned cats! So the cashier fixed the machine he thought...
So here we go to order #3 which has a chill order and the puffs P&G cats and nada....
So order #4 was that sale .99 chicken and in the meantime the CS Manager came over and told him to ring thru a store $10 off:) So that was nice.
After that fiasco CS Manager & us went over to CS desk with M&M in tow
So we go to CS and they just scan the puffs and out prints a cat she looks at me and says ok now I need to give this to your cashier for that chicken I say of course and thanks.
Then she does the banquet 10 and gives me the 2-$5 chill cats.
Then she does the swiss miss 10 and we get a cat
Then she did the hot pockets 6 & 4 jose ole things got 2-$5 chill cats
So I did get my cats it just wasn't exactly the way it was planned .
In theory it looked so smooth....:shrug7:
although to Acme's credit they had everything we wanted in stock!!!
Then we go out and strap into the van and I give M&M drinks while I scan the receipts one last time..you guessed it...somethings wrong the crest avenu hadn't come off
Agh in for a penney in for a pound!
Back inside to CS they go pull my 6 $1 crest coupons outta the drawer and refund me the actually $6.44 onto my credit card.
Seriously we didn't eat lunch until 2pm with all this!
And did I mention we went to genaurdis for hamburger 91/9% hamburger at 1.79/lb! beforehand???? After preschool?
Oh look it's 4:50 and I need to start making dinner!@#$%!^#!

After my email response from above I have now received a phone call from my local Acme telling me they were sorry that I wasn't allowed to use a second cat and they would be sending me a $5 gift card. Nice bonus as really I was just looking to get the actual policy in writing.
So my next question was....When I show up next week with $30 in cats (1 from each deal this week) will I be allowed to use them all in one transaction? She is looking into it and will get back to me.
Not sure I will spend the $30 without a Cat week going on but still it will be nice to be able to reference should a problem come up in the future.
