Asking Doesn't Hurt While at Acme the other day I asked a question that I had been wondering about. You know those catalinas you get from other stores that say manufacturers coupon on them, but have the store logo? I finally asked if we were allowed to use them at Acme.
Here is what I was told: That since they had "Manufacturer's Coupon" on them and they listed how to go about redeeming them and did not say that they were only redeemable at "such and such"*, that they should go through without any problems.
Now I know that in doing this there may be some "we don't take these" from cashiers, etc. My advice is to ask at the CS desk before using them. If they give you the green light, then go on ahead.
*When manufacturer's coupons say "Redeem at (insert name of store here)" it is a suggestion of where to use the coupon. If the manufacturer's coupon states "Only Redeemable at (insert name of store here)" or "Must be Redeemed at (insert name of store here)" or some other variation of those words then the coupon is only valid at that store. It basically means the manufacturer has made a deal with that store and they will only reimburse coupons that come from them. Which means any other store will not get reimbursed and will be out the money for it.
