I emailed Acme the other day to see if I could get a listing in my area as to which stores participate in the Cash Rewards Program. Here is a short list they sent me:
Clifton
Freehold
King of Prussia
Limerick
Medford
Phoenixville
**No Longer Participating**
Thorndale
West Chester/East Bradford
**Store Closed**
If you do not see any stores in your area, try contacting Acme and list a few of the store locations that you are interested in. They should get back to you asap with the information. It took a day for me to receive a response.
The rewards are as follows:
Spend $250 get a $5 Cash Reward
Spend $350 get a $10 Cash Reward
Spend $500 get a $15 Cash Reward
Spend $750 get a $25 Cash Reward
The dollar spending amount is not always your actual amount spent. Certain restricted items (such as dairy) do not count towards your total. Sometimes you may received more than your actual OOP expense due to coupon usage. Sometimes you may get less than your OOP expense. It would probably take an in-depth response from Acme to learn why somethings show up and others don't.
You can keep track of your "spending" throughout the calendar month. The total is located at the bottom of your receipt. It's always a good thing to check it out near the end of the month as you may only be a little bit away from the next reward level. If you were at $347, you may want to make a $3 purchase to up yourself into the $10 range instead of staying in the $5 range.
The cash rewards used to be mailed out to people in coupon form. Now they print out through the catalina machine about 15th of the month after you have qualified the month before. So pay attention to see if that little light blinks before leaving the register!
Sometimes the 15th comes and goes and no coupons. There are several reasons why this could have happened. There is a delay in the printing of coupons, meaning no one had their reward print out yet. Or yours could have printed out after you left the lane and then was given to the person behind you in error, or tossed in the trash. Or quite siply there could have been a computer glitch.
If you think that you earned a reward and have not received one, talk to customer service. It's always helpful to have your last receipt of the month with you to verify that you did reach a certain rewards tier. There are times when they do not print out, so the main office does a little look-see into your previous months purchases and if you qualify they then mail you out a replacement.
Those of you who are familiar with the Cash Rewards Program, I hope you will jump on in and mention anything that I might have missed. That way those new to the program can get all the nitty gritty.
