I emailed Acme about IP policy & response

I was told @ my Acme that they didnt accept IP coupons. Acme offers printables from their site, so I figured I had a fair argument. Here's what I emailed them & the response:

I have a question concerning Acme accepting internet printed coupons.
There is a link right on the Acme website that offers these coupons to be printed and used @ Acme, yet when I try to use them at the store, I am told that Acme doesn't accept them. Please advise.

Dear Christine,

Thank you for contacting us regarding our Internet coupon acceptance policy.

We do not accept any coupons that appear to be computer (Internet) generated that:

Offer FREE product
Offer a value of $5.00 or more
Do not have a UPC and/or will not scan

In addition, coupons that had been confirmed as fraudulent and will not be accepted.

I just sent some printables, (not from Acme's website), to my mom and dad in Ohio. Daddy has Alzheimer's and LOVES chocolate Ensure. At a coupon swap, I requested Ensure coupons and received a few.

Mommas is 83yo and not as coupon savvy as I. She has too much on her plate right now to argue with employees at Acme. I'm afraid that they will tell her that she can't use the ones that I sent.

I can now arm her with your information and hope that she feels strong enough to use it.
