I just got back from Acme. Overall, yeah, got some good deals. But....

They fixed the overage glitch. I did not get any overage on Powerade, Werther's.

Gerber catalinas for 0.75 off any juice did not double at all. The juice is 1.69, so I was pretty excited about only paying 0.19 for it, but no go. We need it anyway, but it didn't even double to 1.00.

They did not have the wipes (correct size) that are advertised for 1.99 and I have several $1/1 Lysol coupons. They would not give me the 40 ct for that price.

Edy's is a great price and I got 4. I was unable to find any blinkies or tearpads, or I would have gotten more.

The front end rep who works the early day shift (must be 6-2 or 6-3) really does not like me. She watches me like a hawk and makes me get all my printables approved by a mgr She also voiced her dislike of me ringing up my two Edy's separately, once she saw why. I will say, it was great though, because I didn't even have a coupon for it, it just scanned that way, so there was nothing she could do about it.

minus .75Q = .74 each. These are usually 4.48 @ Acme!
As of last nite I was still getting overage on the Powerade. I didnt try anything that may have given overage today.
Whats the Werthers that you mentioned???

I bought the Powerade orange, if that makes a difference. The Werther's is these teeny tiny packs of candy in the 10/10 aisle. There were two coupons out for these--.075 off one, or 1.50 off 2. I have both, but my coupon train got here yesterday and I found more of the 0.75s in it. Free is free, so that's good. I still would not even pay 0.50 for two of these-or a quarter each. The pieces of candy are so small!

I bought the Red Baron Singles too, but my Q didn't double nor did I get the .25. I thought Acme was doubling coupons now. I was expecting to save $1.50 a piece. Anyone know what gives??

Get this lovely trip to Acme I just made a half hour ago. I went with a bunch of the 55 cent off q's for the Tostino's. And I know they say "Do Not Double", which is fine, I didn't expect that. But I had nine of them and the cashier would only take one, said they only accept one now if it says Do Not Double, but they will double that one.

What the heck is that about? Why can't they just take the regular 55 cents off everything. This also happened with some cereal q's and the Suddenly Salad q's. The just took one, doubled it, but just took one of each like item.

this was a young kid ringing this up. Should I contact someone at Acme to see about this?

I would've called someone over. Sounds like the stores are having trouble transitioning over to a new coupon policy.

I emailed Acme quite a letter of my experience last night. Told them I was a customer of 10 years and they better do something to make me happy or I will permanently stay with Shoprite.

That sounds more like a cashier who doesn't want to be troubled by having to override the doubling for a bunch of coupons.

Me, I'd have said fine, made them void the order, then made 9 separate purchases. But then I tend to be a vindictive SOB sometimes.
