Sometimes with Kroger automatic savings promos, they still charge for tax. This is actually illegal in the state of TX, but are you really gonna argue over .25 or .50, lol. I usually just let it go, not worth the time it would take to explain it to about 20 managers before they realize it. Now, if you really really want, I do have an email with the actual law about tax and coupons that I would be happy to provide anyone, but again, it would cost more in time then it is worth.

So long story short in answering your question, yes, it is a tax issue. They don't program their computers right sometimes for these promos
