Oh I would LOVE a Central Market so close! sadly, I don't think there is a "market" for a Central Market type store in NB. I have found that the majority of the people in NB are not very "food savvy" Every time I buy bok choy from HEB the cashiers never know what it is. Savoy cabbage too. Seriously. They carry it, they should know what it is.
When we first moved to NB I asked the ladies at the deli counter where the procuttio was. They looked at me like I was from another planet. had no idea what I was talking about.
I too hate that our HEB is always so busy. Esp. during the summer, when the population of the town triples. It's annoying when they are out of staples too. Like milk and bread. I have started buying those at Costco tho. They are never out of stock and they are cheaper on the organic milk too. Just wish it wasn't so darn far away! |
