Re: Cloth diapers? We're just starting into the world of CD. I'm waiting on my first order of diapers to arrive at the moment. I ordered one of each of a few different types of pocket diapers and AIOs just to see what works best for us first. I really like that they have some one size diapers now so that you can get longer use out of them. Also, I ordered a couple AIOs that also have pockets so that I can stuff them if needed, but I don't necessarily have to.
My DS is almost 6 months old, and yes, I do have a stash of disposable diapers, but he hates being wet which results in many changes a day. The trash amount is just ridiculous to me!
The main reason that I'm buying them is that he leaks through EVERYTHING at night. I have tried overnight diapers, going up a size, diaper doublers, you name it I've done it, and he still wets through on most nights(he sleeps about 9-10 hours). A friend of mine claims that after she went to cloth she didn't have any more night leaks, because she could easily customize the diaper to the absorbancy she needed. I am hoping that this will work for us as well. We're just starting out part time for right now, and depending on how it goes will move to full time CD. My daycare provider hasn't ever used the new CDs, but is willing to try it if I want to put the $$ into it. DH said NO to prefolds, because they look too complicated. LOL So we're just going with the easiest ones right now.
I love all the cute diapers! I am sure that it will be very addicting.
