I thought you were talking about the Brookshire's in Benbrook. It was a Winn Dixie in 1985, I'm almost sure because at the time I was working for Safeway and we went to Benbrook lake and I remember thinking they get all the lake business.

I'm full of useless information and trivia, lol!! But that area has grown by leaps and bounds! I remember when all there was to Willow Park was the Chevron station and Thrift Mart.
I can do the same thing with lots of places in Ft Worth. I remember going to places where now, you wouldn't drive through in the daylight.

BTW, did you ever go to the East Parker County library? If you did you may have met my mom. She worked there until she had hip surgery about a year and half ago. Her name is Linda.
Are you talking about the one in Aledo? I was there once doing some genealogy research. They had a book that the FW library didn't have. I was very impressed with that library. For such a small library, they had a good variety of subjects and it was full of people....and to have a genealogy section too. Wow! I need to go back, thanks for reminding me.

I hope your mom is doing well.
