Sorry my posts have made this thread so long! I didn't mean to cause such a ruckus!

I think the rep I spoke to truly believed what she was telling me and was misinformed my her superiors or misunderstood what she was told by her superiors.

I am glad I called, though, because I believe she was making a genuine effort to assist me by following through with the store.

The store offered me $ compensation, which I accepted.
