Default Re: Publix Story Brag

It looks as if in a few months my family will be relocating to a state out west were there are no Publix Stores. I have to say I will miss my local stores employees very ,very much. Not only do they do the normal things like ask if I need any help finding things or taking my bags to our car etc - they are very, very kind to my kids - especially my seven year old son who has autism.
Everytime he shops with me which is often- is an adventure to say the least . Ussually he is very good and has progressed from having serious meltdowns in the store to now being able to go through the isles with just the occasional scream.I often use shoping as a way to get him to use his speach and engage in the world around him - like when they give him a cookie or something to play with - I make him look them in the eye and tell them thank you. Some times this can take a few moments but the regular employees that he sees are very patient about this. They are his biggest cheerleaders now and he is often greeted with hugs and smiles which is something he and I really , really need just to get through a normal day.
The employees of my local store are truely special and I will miss them.
