| Re: Need advice from those who have had/are having multiples :) I have 10-month old twins and a soon-to-be 3 year old - all boys. I was on bed rest for two weeks at the beginning of my twin pregnancy, and then the last 7 weeks. I delivered at 36 weeks - they were 6 lbs, 12 oz, and 7 lbs, 15 oz!!!
The first month of twins will kick your butts. You WILL survive. Make sure you have plenty of help. Don't turn down any help - or meals!
As others have said, you don't need two of everything. But a double stroller is ESSENTIAL... I also recommend the Skip Hop Double Duo Diaper Bag... freakishly expensive, but SO worth it... it even clips onto a stroller.
Watch all the boards for diaper deals... I love Baby Cheapskate for finding the best deals.
Check to see if you qualify for WIC. It was a lifesaver for us when I couldn't breastfeed because we were able to get free formula!
Sign up for all the parents of multiples programs out there. Here's a list of some of the things I got that I posted on my blog. I forgot to request stuff from Luvs until a few weeks ago... and that was great - super awesome coupons ($2 off, and $5 off), and a coupon for a free pack of Pampers!
Consider being a stay-at-home mom. When you figure out day care costs along with the price of gas, it was more economical for me to stay home.
Best wishes on a healthy pregnancy. Twins are a lot of work, but so much fun... there's nothing like having two babies smile and laugh at you!
