Be very sure to research the husky's temperament before you make the plunge. There are lots of them in rescues because they are very stubborn and are excellent escape artists. We had a registered Husky for 13 years until she started having medical problems (Kushings Disease and cancer). She was always digging up the yard and we were constantly having to comb the neighborhood because the dog jumped the fence or opened the locked gate on her own.
