I used a doula last year for the birth of my first child, actually she was an apprentice. It was the best thing I ever did. I met with her several times before labor. I tlaked to her on the phone when I was in early labor - she could have come to my house. She met me at the hospital. She had great pain relieving techniques and was my advocate through it all. She was a wonderful support system. |
