The Des Moines area (Iowa) Hy-Vee stores put their own ad in the local papers and sometimes include "Super Coupons." Awhile back they became less super 'cause they put a $10 min purchase on them. However, for one $10 purchase you can use one each of the coupons.
So I've been applying my mad Walgreens-how-low-can-my-oop-go skillz to Hy-Vee, and here is tonight's shopping list:
Thursday @ Hy-Vee
- Pick up Press Citizen (milk and banana coupons)
- Check for meat specials
Hy-Vee half gal milk, $1.69 – 0.73 = $0.96
Bananas (3) ~$0.75 – 0.69 = ~$0.06
Orange juice = $1.48
Bread = $0.69
SUBTOTAL: 1.69 + 0.75 + 1.48 + 0.69 = 4.61
Use meat, milk, chicken, cat treats, or a banana to reach $10
Chicken = $1.00 – 1.00 = $0.00
Chicken = $1.00 – 1.00 = $0.00
Chicken = $1.00 – 1.00 = $0.00
