 Need advice from those who have had/are having multiples :)
We went to my doctor's Friday for my first OB appt. We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, was weighed & I gained 1 lb and was measured by the Dr. We discussed with the Dr. that we thought I might be pregnant with twins. My belly is showing (which is a bit early for me) In fact when I bought Easter cards at the factory card outlet the cashier asked me when I was due! Now it's not big but it's noticeable. I am feeling movements in two separate places at once as well. She felt around and agreed that there could be two in there and put in an order for an ultrasound. When we went for the ultrasound we saw two heads right away. Sure enough, it's twins! There is a membrane separating them so the tech thought they might be fraternal twins. He wasn't able to tell if it's one placenta or two really close together so far. Guess we'll find out more when we have another ultrasound. We are soooooo excited!
What should I expect? I have no idea where to even begin! |
