Default What do we consider an Advertised deal vs. an Unadvertised deal?

We're lucky to have so many great members posting deals to our CVS forum. In order to keep things a little more managable for the readers, we've created several subforums. Below are some guidelines to help you decide where to post your information to keep the forums organized. While we would prefer that threads are posted in the correct subforum, please do not hesitate to post just because you're unsure. We would rather you post in the wrong forum than not post at all.

Advertised = Should be posted in the main forum

An advertised deal is any deal that is being advertised by CVS whether it's in a weekly ad or a monthly ad. This includes any variations on an advertised deal such as limits exceeding the advertised limits , sizes working for deals that are not listed in the ad (ie. trial sizes), clearance items working (or not), or deals that have started working prior to the date advertised.

Understand that if the item qualifies for more than one of the above (trial size works and works prior to ad breaking) we would not like to see separate threads for each. To keep the forum as easily accessible as possible we would merge the two.

Unadvertised= Should be posted in Unadvertised and Clearance Sub-forum

The bulk of unadvertised deals are actually clearance deals but, also may include deals that are made great by the use of coupons or CRT's but, are not in the ads. An example of this would be the Johnson's Buddies coupon which makes the bars free at CVS.

CVS- Need a hand? We're here to help
The Help forum is for questions. All kinds of questions are answered here. Questions about company policy, general coupon questions, help with scenerios, etc.

CVS-Buzz
The Buzz forum is a catch-all. If your message isn't directly related to a specific deal or a question, it most likely belongs in the Buzz forum. Chit-chat about your stores, how your family reacts to your deals, gift ideas from CVS or for employees,

Also, please add your post to a current thread whenever possible. We have stickies for almost every topic already: the current weekly ad, the current monthly ad, printables, CRTs, brags . . . . .

Your CVS mods,
Kim, Karen, Val, and Craig
