Re: Free Prescription Drugs for Low Income Households I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for about 10 years and know the these programs very well. One of the problems is that Drs. do not tell patients about the programs sometimes and others simply do not want to take the time for paperwork so I suggest printing the paperwork from the pharmaceutical website that makes your drug or call the company and have them send you the paperwork. Fill it out and find all the documents needed for proof of income then take to your doctor. Also, keep copies new paperwork must be filed every three (3) months. If your doctor will not help suggest changing physicians this is not acceptible in my humble opinion. Also, if you do not find your drug on the list the physician can change your prescription to insure you can receive needed assistance. You must have paperwork for each drug often made by different companies. Please do not pay anyone for this service it is simple just takes a little time and the physician's staff should be willing to help just ask.
There are also discount programs such as Together RX. Hope this helps. |
