I think what the PPs meant (and what I was agreeing with) was that the shower is basically for the adults Because it means that they dont have to go out and spend as much $. There are many showers you go to and never meet the child. Most people have showers for the gift more than only to celebrate the birth. But for those that do it to celebrate and shower the baby I think thats great. Just saying most people think shower = gifts. KWIM?
I Love love love the idea if having a welcome baby party after baby is born and thn if they want to bring baby a gift thats fine too.
I think I feel like maree everyone has a different view so people should just do whatever feels right to them and if they invite someone they arent close to who feels like my mom they will get called tacky lol.
