Yea maybe I should have added another option like
All babies deserve to be welcomed but not with gifts?

Pre Baby I wouldve been like No its pretty tacky..
After baby Im more like every baby should be welcomed with gifts and a party. I guess I feel like SammysMom its like when you take the time to fill out the baby book for DC 1 but dont take the time for the others they will feel less special maybe?

IDK..Im the baby and a late in life child so I guess I kinda get that feeling about some things. Though it never occured to me to ask if they had a shower for me. So I doubt that kid will even know.
And as a PP said showers are really for the adults not for the baby so they dont have to buy things more than for the baby...afterall, How many showers have you been to and then never saw the baby?

I guess since its very doubtful that I will be able to have more that if I were going to I would want to shout it from the rooftops and get lil baby things and celebrate with my fam and friends. But I dont think Id invite people Im not really friends with.

Ive also softened up on a lot things and really dont like to gossip like my mom, sister and DH Do. I mean Ill give them some of my free/cheap baby stockpile wish em well and there ya go. Im not gonna go hang out for 2 hours with people I dont really know though.

Like I told mom there are much worst things they could do so could she drop it

But she wanted to know if it was just her or how people felt about it. I said well Ive got just the place to find out for you. LOL

Interesting to hear everyones views. Id have to check all the boxes and then some I just see all sides. LOL
