FAQ FAQ on Shopping at Homeland

Hi everyone! This thread was originally put together by our former mod, Rachael.
I (Sarah) plan to add information to it as it becomes available.

Homeland's ad comes out every Wednesday and runs until the next Tuesday. I will match up the ad with coupons that I know are available and that should be posted on Thursday at the latest. I do not receive the ad before it comes out.

Members Card?
Yes. You do need to have a Homeland card in order to get the sale prices.

Doubling?
Yes. Homeland doubles one like coupon up to one dollar, everything over one dollar is face value. On rare occasions, Homeland will have 2.00 double coupons. Homeland does not triple.
The first coupon is doubled and the rest are good for face value.

More than one transaction?
Yes. You can separate orders and do more than one transaction. There is no limit as to how many transactions you can do in one day. They will all double the first like coupon. I have done up to four transactions, however that was rare. I usually only do two transactions. I have never had a problem and have frequently been told by the cashiers that I am doing things correctly since they only double one like coupon.

Where is Homeland?
Homeland is in Oklahoma and one or two stores are left in Kansas and Missouri. There can be a variation of the ad from the states. The ad that is online is the OK ad.

Internet coupons?
Most the Homelands accept internet printables, however, some have run across cashiers who refuse them or refuse to double printables. It's on a case by case basis it seems.
At my store here in Tulsa, they have always doubled my internet printables, and when they didn't automatically doubled, I questioned the cashier and they manually doubled them.

Expired Coupons?
No.

Overage?
I have gotten overage with coupons on certain occasions. This is how their computers work. Let's say an item is 1.49 regular price. You have a 1/1 coupon. The coupon will scan at 1.00 and double .49. No overage. But, Let's say that same item goes on sale for .99. When the computer scans your coupon, for some reason it still is thinking the item is regular price (I think it has something to do with using the card, but not sure and certainly am not going to alert them to the issue) and therefore the coupon scans at 1.00 and then doubles .49 = .50 overage for you. I always try to figure what is going to give me overage so I don't go negative (yes, I have once and the only thing they did was laugh and give me the .38 - but next time I might not be that lucky!)
