 Re: saving on power bill
I am going to put in a vote for compact flourescent bulbs. I replaced just 4 of them last year, and didn't even notice an increase when our rates went up 35% around the same time.
I now have them in most of our lamps and many overhead lights, and have definitely noticed lower bills.
