This forum is for the posting of Coupon Trains.

Coupon Trains at Hot Coupon World are a great way to share the coupons you will not be able to use or hot coupons you have multiples of with other riders who can use them.

Please be aware that all trades must be conducted in the trading forums and all correspondence must be made via private message or email. Any trading messages left as a visitor message will be subject to deletion without further notification.

To join a train you must be a member of the Trader User Group. You must have an Itrader rating of at least 5 unique feedbacks with no negatives.

Trains are alot of fun but can be time consuming. We suggest that you try one first before signing up for more.





The following items are allowed to be on a train (exclusions may apply to any train):

• Actuals
• Checks
• Coupons
• Catalina's (if they are allowed by conductor and are going to someone who shops at that store).
• Expired coupons are allowed only if this is a train for expired coupons as specified by the condutor.
• Free samples
• Gift cards
• Printable coupons
• Promotional codes and items (coke codes, boxtops 4 education, campbell's labels, etc.)
• Promotional forms
• Rain checks
• Rebate Forms
• Try-Me-Free forms
• UPC's

The following items are not allowed to be on a coupon train

• Cash Register Tapes (CRTs)
• Complete deals (UPC, CRT, and Form...all items needed for a rebate)
• Fraudulently printed, altered, or coupons known to be fake. Please check the "It's got to be real" forum for info on fraudulent coupons.
• We ask that you do not post any portion of the UPC Number of the coupon in your trading posts. A moderator WILL edit this out, and a warning and /or infraction will be issued. You MAY however post if a coupon is DND 5, DND 9, or store only coupon coded (ie starts with a 0)
• printable cvs coupons.
• Kmart flyers, home mailers or any print media advertising double coupons.

Trains are NOT intended to be a way to get rid of those coupons that are considered ‘junk’ by the majority of couponers. Please be considerate to the other riders by including coupons that others will want to receive. In other words, unless someone is specifically asking for joint supplement coupons or something similar, chances are no one will want these and they will take up valuable space in the envelope for the duration of the train. That space would be better being taken up by a more desirable coupon. It is not fun to be on a train and receive an envelope full of worthless coupons that nobody wants to take out!

Because coupon trains are so much fun and we want everyone to have a chance to experience them you may only join 3 at one time. If you are already on 3 trains, you must wait for your ride to be over on one or more before conducting or joining a new train. If you are on a one time mailing train and your part is over (meaning your end is received and you've received your envelope(s)) you should PM Tacatcon & Chitownmelli, the Coupon Trains mods for an exception. If you do try to join a 4th train without approval, your conductor will be notified that you are not eligible and they will remove you from their train.

If you would like to start your own train we have a great Hot Coupon World Train Conductor Frequently Asked Question section HERE. This thread has tons of suggestions and tips on how to make your train a great one!

To conduct a train you must fill out the train conductor application. To be approved as a conductor you must have ridden on at least one train here at Hot Coupon World, and have a positive Itrader rating of at least 30 unique feedbacks with zero negative ratings.
You will only be allowed to conduct one train at a time your first few times out. You are never allowed to conduct more than 3 trains at a time. Approval is at the discretion of the train mods. Please read the conductor FAQs for more.

Each train will have its own thread in the Coupon Trains Hop On Board forum. Each conductor will have their own set of rules required to ride on their train listed in the thread. These rules are in addition to HCW's overall rules and also need to be followed to ride.

Some of these rules that vary from train to train include:

• The procedure for removing expired or soon-to-be expiring coupons.
• Requirement to post when you mail and when you receive envelopes.
• What can and cannot be included on the train.
• Conductors can request a minimum feedback rating for riders of their trains.
• The mailing schedule.

Train derailments are treated as bad trades and are subject to bad trader proceedings as well as infractions and negative feedback. Please do not join trains if you do not intend to follow through with your end.

Here at HCW we strive to offer neat, clean forums. All posts in the Coupon Trains: Hop on Board Forum will be purged from the system by a Super moderator, the head moderator of the trading forums or the forum moderators after the thread has either been inactive for one month or once the train ride is over

Keep in mind that the rules above are not all inclusive. There are some situations that will arise that have not been specifically addressed in our train forum rules section. In that case, it will be handled at moderator, super moderator or site admin. discretion.
