You throw the whole bag in the microwave for 10 mins, mash (I add milk and a little butter) then you have the mashed taters.. my fam loves the garlic ones!
The russet ones are good too and leftovers make great tater pancakes!

So, that being said, you can't really seperate before cooking, but after cooking you can.

I snagged 8 of these at $1 a bag and hope to go back for more! Can never have too many mashed taters!
